Franklin Electric/Little Giant to display new whole-home water pumping products at IBS 2016

January 14, 2016

Franklin Electric Co., Inc., a manufacturer of complete wastewater and cleanwater pumping systems, will display a number of new pumping innovations at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Booth C1836 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jan. 19-21.

A few of the new products featured in the booth include:

  • The new Little Giant 6EC and 10EC Series of sump/effluent pumps provide lower current draw, higher energy efficiency, and improved performance. These new units feature cast iron covers and a polypropylene base that includes the stainless plate. Additional models are now available with a durable cast iron base providing increased intake area, reducing intake velocities. The 1/3 hp 6EC Series consumes only 5.0 amps while producing 53 gpm at 5 feet of head and reaching a maximum shut-off of 28 feet. The 1/2 hp 10EC Series touts a full-load rating of only 6.5 amps and produces 67 gpm at 5 feet of head with a maximum shut-off of 36 feet.
  • The new Little Giant SPBS Series Battery Backup Systems allow contractors to provide homeowners with the peace of mind that their basement is protected from flooding when the electricity goes out. The Little Giant SPBS Series is available in four options that deliver capacities from 53-67 gallons per minute with high flow rates, quick charging time, and hours of battery longevity.
  • The Little Giant Inline 400 Pressure Boosting System is a compact and economical solution to most water pressure improvement needs. It couples a proven Franklin Electric pump and motor with simple flow-based controls to provide a typical water pressure boost of up to 40 PSI, depending on the application’s need. The unit’s symmetrical design allows for easy installation mounting either vertically or horizontally to fit within most existing plumbing configurations – including those where space is limited. This powerful, yet whisper quiet system is ideal for city water pressure boosting, pressurizing water from a cistern tank, re-pressurizing after filtration and irrigation system boosting applications.
  • The new Fhoton SolarPAK system utilizes Franklin Electric’s proven solar technology with the new Fhoton solar drive that features a smaller modular design, providing flexibility and simple maintenance for the contractor. The entire solar package of panels, pump, motor and drive are backed by Franklin’s team of Field Service Engineers, creating an easy way for contractors to provide “off-grid” water pumping to their customers.
  • The new FPS IGPH Series of high head grinder pumps are engineered for the tough demands of higher head conditions found in many low pressure sewage transfer applications. Available in an automatic or manual version, the FPS IGPH Series pumps utilize a proven and patented cutter system with precision clearances for superior grinding at 414,000 cuts per minute. These new units incorporate two non-clogging impeller stages for efficient pumping of sewage slurries with a shut-off head of 200 feet. With only 16 full-load amps (at minimum head requirements), these units can replace other grinders that fail to meet current application needs.
  • The Little Giant Pit+Plus® Basin is an advanced, installation and service-friendly sewage basin option for plumbing contractors. The Little Giant Pit+Plus features a monolithic top to separate and promote the three key areas of a sewage package – the pump, switch and plumbing connections which can be accessed independently. Still offered with the common float switch, the system was recently redesigned to incorporate the extremely reliable and new ECM (External Control Module) switch option. It contains a ‘bell’ inside the basin to monitor liquid level for switch operation outside the basin, isolated from the liquid.
