March 19, 2025

In a transformational year for the HVAC/R industry, marked by significant changes to refrigerant standards, nearly 1,000 technicians, contractors, and other trade professionals joined F.W. Webb Co. for its 11th annual HVAC, Refrigeration, and Controls Dealer Meeting. The one-day event happened on March 6 at the Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.

“With our industry adjusting to a new regulatory environment, this event served as a helpful resource for identifying tools and equipment compatible with A2L requirements,” said Art Osborn, director of residential HVAC sales, F.W. Webb Co., referring to regulations mandating use of refrigerants with a lower global warming potential. “We also showcased important trends in our industry, such as the ongoing move towards energy-efficient systems, especially heat pumps. Most importantly, we strengthened our connections with customers and manufacturer partners.”

Platinum sponsors Rheem, GE, and Samsung headlined the meeting, coinciding with significant developments in each partnership. In recent months, F.W. Webb:

Inside the exhibition hall, more than 80 manufacturers showcased tools, equipment, systems, and other solutions alongside booths featuring F.W. Webb’s expert teams, including LP Gas, PurePro, Alliance Environmental Group, eCommerce, and Frank Webb Home

Educational breakout sessions shared valuable information about products engineered for updated refrigerant regulations and energy efficiency, equipping professionals with necessary knowledge to keep up with industry trends. Topics included:
  • A2L-Compliant Systems: F.W. Webb’s manufacturer partners led extensive discussions on A2L equipment, including Rheem residential equipment, commercial rooftops, and split systems, GE unitary residential, ductless and Connect series systems, and the Samsung residential lineup, delivering impactful information for contractors getting acclimated with tighter regulations.
  • Electrification and Heat Pumps: Electrification continues to gain momentum throughout the industry, and heat pump systems are part of that trend. One session featured the installation process and design considerations for Samsung air-to-water Hydro units, sharing the benefits for professionals looking to stay ahead in an evolving industry.
  • Dealer Programs: Separate breakouts showcased the Samsung Dealer Program, Rheem Pro Partner Program, and GE Pro Solutions Partner Program, outlining exclusive benefits available to qualified professionals, such as financing support, marketing assets, and more.
Here’s how trade professionals benefited from this event:
  • Regulatory Readiness: From numerous products to informative breakout sessions, this event delivered solutions for contractors navigating the new regulatory landscape. Multiple utility and rebate organizations were on hand to answer questions and provide valuable guidance.
  • Business Solutions: With efficient tools, cutting-edge systems, and manufacturer-backed benefit programs available, professionals could discover valuable resources for growing their businesses.
  • Industry Resources: Going beyond the products, contractors could meet directly with manufacturer representatives and F.W. Webb’s knowledgeable practitioners, building valuable connections for technical help, troubleshooting guidance, and product knowledge.

“It’s always a great honor to host so many hardworking professionals at this event every year, and we thank them for joining us,” Osborn said. “We also appreciate the support of our manufacturer partners—without them, we wouldn’t be able to organize an event that truly addresses the needs of our customers.

“This meeting also epitomized our commitment to developing strong manufacturer partnerships that enable the success of trade professionals. We look forward to continuing that commitment in 2026 and building on this year’s event."
