Sloan Enhances and Expands BIM Offerings

Sloan has expanded and enhanced its BIM offering to provide engineers and architects with greater product resources, along with the highest quality 3D models for designing and rendering commercial restrooms.

BIM can be especially helpful for restroom design. This is because restrooms have a lot of specific requirements, such as accessibility, ADA compliance, and code requirements. BIM can identify and correct errors early in the design process, ensuring that all requirements are met and the final restroom is functional and accessible for everyone.

Sloan's BIM models are unique for several reasons, which include the following:

• They are small-size files that are easy to open and keep computer memory and systems running efficiently without disruptions.
• They are built as Revit families, which have a group of components that can be used to build models. These components include bathroom walls, showers, doors, fixtures, etc.
• Sloan's vast product offering comes with a wide variety of BIM models to choose from.
• Sloan uses the industry standard for the creation of its BIM models, Autodesk Revit.
• Sloan's models are LOD 300. LOD stands for Level of Detail. The high 300 number represents our models as having precise geometry, allowing for our product to accurately resemble what will be installed.
