Mike Rowe Discusses Record Number of Workers Quitting Jobs on "America's Newsroom"

On Nov. 15, Mike Rowe, host of "Dirty Jobs" and founder of the mikeroweWORKS Foundation, joined Fox News' "America's Newsroom" to discuss the struggle for businesses to find workers to fill their jobs. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, roughly 4.4 million workers quit their jobs in September 2021. Labor Department officials have also reported that there were 10.4 million job openings at the end of September. 

Among the "complex" factors Rowe mentioned contributing to these statistics include the "ever-evolving definition of what a good job is" and the current labor system. 

"We can't blame people for acting in their own interests, and if we lay out a topography that ultimately encourages people to not work, then I'm afraid that's the fault in our stars — we're not going to do it," Rowe told host Dana Perino.
