Today, Hubbell celebrates the women of its company for their accomplishments. Any day of the week, Samantha Chirico, Danielle Swanson, Amy Rodia and Laura Reid can be seen whipping through the building focused on Hubbell business. Now, the company spotlights these four Women of Hubbell with 2020 Vision. Hubbell is thrilled to announce the following:

Hubbell believes that Chirico smiles in the face of new challenges. She has been with the company in various roles understanding the intricacies of the business since 2011. Chirico returned to Hubbell this past July and has taken the role of efficiency/safety manager by storm. In this role, she’s successfully managed the café and fitness trainers and liaised with the shop to accomplish short-term and long-term goals. Chirico's new role as material manager is one that she’s stepped into with pride and delight. She’s dived right into purchasing, inventory processes and asking key questions that will impact operations. Her team consists of Will D., Sarah H., Sylvia W., Patrick R., Susan S., Josephine R. and Dwight F. Chirico now reports directly to COO Paul Dubicki.

"It must be Samantha’s destiny to be a leading manager at Hubbell," said Dubicki. "Samantha has served in many roles here at Hubbell and has proven she has the skills necessary to succeed. Samantha’s ability to manage people, dedication, and desire to implement improvements will take her department to the next level. She will be the right person for the right seat."

Rodia is taking Hubbell's quality to a whole other level. Along with managing its quality assurance team (Janel James and Al Chavez), she’s taken on the additional responsibility of managing the technical support department. Frank Esposito will report directly to Rodia. They will work closely to track trends, solve root-cause issues, and dig into internal/external processes so that customers are better able to get what they need in a variety of situations. Rodia is absolutely delighted and has remarked that the most rewarding part of her job is the ability to make improvements to help customers while providing the best customer service. The team is excited about short-term and long-term improvements. In this expanded role, Rodia will continue to report to Dubicki.

Swanson has been promoted to marketing communications manager. She’s enthusiastically taking on new projects and assignments without hesitation since her arrival a year ago. Swanson developed and designed Hubbell’s new ad campaign featured in Plumbing and Engineering magazine. This took the company's marketing efforts to a new level, therefore expanding Hubbell’s marketing reach. Swanson has been instrumental in expanding Hubbell's social and digital media, therefore increasing its traction. She’s now doing the behind-the-scenes activities for all of the company's trade shows. Swanson can’t wait to embrace the items on her path. She continues to report to Director of Marketing Scott Barry.

"I remember only a year ago when I had interviewed [Swanson]," said Barry. "I was convinced that [she was] going to be the right person for the job. As the days passed, [her] creativity, organization, proactive approach, and project leadership qualities became evident to all of us. [She is] truly an asset to our team. Through [her] skills, hard work and dedication, [she has] earned this promotion and I hope this will act as a motivation for [her] to continue to perform at the highest level. Congrats once again, the promotion was a well-deserved one!"

Reid has just inherited one of the hardest working departments at Hubbell. The company is happy to announce that she has been promoted to administrative lead for the front administrators and the receptionists. In this role, Reid will be actively involved in the day-to-day functions of Hubbell's office support department. She is looking forward to streamlining processes and training staff to ensure that they perform duties efficiently. Reid and Diana Tirado will report directly to Deanne Corris, accounting manager.
