In the past month, two friends and my sister have proclaimed themselves “safe” in hurricane Irma. Our editor for our Mexican plumbing publication, Christopher Garcia, proclaimed himself “safe” in not just one, but two earthquakes. I kiss the ground for their and their families’ safety. What about those who weren’t able to mark themselves “safe” in Texas and Louisiana? Or in Puerto Rico? People need supplies. People need to be found. People need to be heard and seen. It’s important that we do what we can, help where we can.
If you’re interested in pitching in or spreading the word, here are some resources for those affected by Irma: http://to.pbs.org/2y8FGpV; http://read.bi/2ymhaOW

Love is not exactly in the storm-infested air lately, but it’s still here if we peer close enough, happening around us. Our cover this month is a rustic wedding, centered around, you got that right, a hydronic system. Well, and the newlyweds, of course! Give it a read. A small water heater company can make dreams come true. Be sure to also tune into our contractor spotlight on a lively plumbing and heating company based in the Rocky Mountains. Then check out our coverage on a local plumber’s union’s new educational facility. Or dig into features on the new Commonwealth Stadium, GPS and more!
